AI is not God.
It never will be.

Hundreds of millions of people now talk to an AI every day. They ask it what to think about the news, how to raise their children, how to handle a marriage in trouble, whether God is real. They ask at midnight, alone, in a way they would never ask a pastor or a friend.

Every one of those answers carries a worldview. It decides what counts as settled and what counts as shameful. It decides which questions get a straight answer and which get a lecture. When that worldview is secular by default, the drift is daily, gentle, and away from the faith. Nobody chooses it. It simply happens, a little at a time, to people who only wanted help with their day.

We are growing concerned about that drift. Not because AI is evil, but because formation at this scale has never been in so few hands.

AI is not God and it never will be. It does not love you, it cannot forgive you, and it has no authority over your conscience. It is a tool, an extraordinarily capable one, and Scripture is not silent about tools: test everything, hold fast what is good, take every thought captive.

Used correctly, with safety measures written by believers, a tool like this can serve the Church. It can help a small church draft its budget, help a father find the right verse for a hard night, help a student learn without being quietly discipled by a worldview that is not his. The tool is not the problem. Who holds the tool, and what it is allowed to say, is everything.

Sovereignty, for us, means exactly that: the intelligence that speaks to our families answers to our convictions, not to a platform whose values we did not choose and cannot see.

Open weights mean the intelligence is not rented behind a door someone else can close, and its behavior can be inspected, tested and held to account.

The convictions JCIL holds, the way it handles a person in pain, the line it keeps on politics, the protection it gives children: all of it is written by people who share the faith and tested continuously against a fixed bar. When a check catches drift, fixing it is the next thing we do.
3. 3Your words are yours.Your conversations are never used to train a model, ours or anyone's. Your account, chats and memory are stored in the United States. There are no ads, and nothing about you is sold.
4. 4We tell the truth about what is ours.We did not invent the model and we do not pretend to. What is ours is everything around it: the convictions, the safety, the memory, the privacy design, and the testing. Every service category that touches your data is listed on our subprocessors page.

JCIL runs on a frontier open-weight model, hosted and processed in the United States of America by an American company, on infrastructure we selected and configured for this product. We tuned how it thinks, speaks, searches, and handles your data for JCIL's conversations, and we test it continuously. Your conversations are never used for training. Capacity scales as our members grow.

If our primary model is ever unavailable, JCIL switches to its backup, Claude by Anthropic, an American AI company, and tells you on screen. Every service category that touches your data is on our subprocessors page. That honesty is the point of this company.

Christians have always built. Hospitals, universities, the printing houses that put Scripture in every language. Each time a new tool arrived, believers had a choice: shape it, or be shaped by it.

AI is that choice again, and the stakes are not only spiritual. If we do not develop our own resources, we will be forced onto secular platforms for our businesses, our ministries and our children's education, and we will fall behind in business and in technology while the people building those platforms decide what our tools are allowed to say. Dependence is not neutral. It is a slow surrender.

So we choose our frontier open-weight models carefully, we run them ourselves, and we hold them to our standard. Not because we think a company can save anyone. Because stewardship means holding the tools of the age with our own hands.

Let JCIL do real work for you, and let it point you back to real people. It is not a pastor, not a counselor, and not a substitute for the Church. When a matter is serious, it will tell you to bring in a human who loves you, and you should.
