Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate account information
• Maintaining the security of your password and session
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Trial: every new account starts with a 14-day trial of the full product. No payment method is required. When the trial ends you can subscribe or stop; your conversations, memories and documents stay readable either way.

Plans: JCIL.AI offers two subscriptions, Basic at $19 per month and Plus at $99 per month, each with generous included usage. You will always be warned before you reach a usage limit, nothing is deleted at it, and you can purchase additional credits for usage beyond what your subscription includes; credits never expire and are not redeemable for cash. Pricing is displayed in the application and on our website.

Automatic renewal: a subscription is a recurring monthly charge. When you subscribe, the plan price (Basic $19 or Plus $99) is charged to your payment method on the day you subscribe and again on the same day each month, automatically, until you cancel. The charge continues at the then-current price until cancellation; we give 14 days notice before any price change.

The trial never charges you. No payment method is collected to start the 14-day trial, so nothing happens automatically when it ends. Recurring billing begins only if you choose to subscribe.

Cancellation: you can cancel at any time from Settings, which opens the Stripe billing portal, or by emailing support@jcil.ai. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep full access until then. Fees for a billing period that has already started are non-refundable except where required by law.

Credits are non-refundable except where required by law or at our sole discretion. Unused credits do not expire as long as your account remains active.

Promotional offers (the trial, any first-month discount shown at checkout, and any complimentary credits) may be modified or discontinued at any time. Changes never affect a billing period you have already paid for.

All payments are processed by Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.

Price changes: We may adjust pricing with 14 days notice to registered users. Price changes do not affect previously purchased credits.

You agree not to use JCIL.AI to:

• Generate content that exploits, harms, or endangers minors in any way
• Create content promoting terrorism, violence, or threats against individuals or groups
• Generate sexually explicit content involving minors
• Attempt to circumvent content moderation or safety systems
• Use the service for spam, phishing, or malware distribution
• Impersonate other individuals or entities
• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the service
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the service without permission
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the service

We employ automated content moderation, including local detection of jailbreak attempts and spam. Enforcement follows a progressive penalty system:

• First violation: Warning
• Second violation: 10-minute suspension
• Third violation: 1-hour suspension
• Fourth violation: 24-hour suspension
• Fifth violation: 7-day suspension
• Sixth+ violation: Permanent ban

Critical violations (content involving minors, terrorism, direct threats of violence) result in immediate permanent ban and may be reported to law enforcement.

Appeals: If you believe your account was suspended or banned in error, you may submit an appeal through our support page or by emailing appeals@jcil.ai. Appeals are reviewed within 5 business days. Include your account email and a description of the circumstances. We reserve the right to uphold or overturn any enforcement action at our sole discretion.

Ownership: You retain ownership of the content you input into JCIL.AI (messages, uploaded files, prompts).

AI-Generated Content: Content generated by the AI (text responses, drafted emails, summaries, code, and other written output) is provided to you for your use. You may use AI-generated content for personal and commercial purposes, subject to the following limitations:

• You are responsible for ensuring your use of generated content complies with applicable laws
• You should not represent AI-generated content as human-created where disclosure is required by law

License: By using JCIL.AI, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service (sending to AI models, storing conversation history, performing moderation). We do not use your content for training AI models.

We take data security seriously:

• All data encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest
• Database access controlled by row-level security policies
• API keys and secrets stored in environment variables, never in client code
• Infrastructure hosted in the United States via Vercel and Supabase
• AI processing through enterprise-grade APIs (data not used for model training)
• Payment processing via Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1)

JCIL.AI integrates with the following third-party services:

• Anthropic: AI model processing (Claude) and built-in web search
• OpenAI: Text embeddings for memory and document search, and voice dictation transcription. OpenAI never receives or answers a conversation
• Supabase: Database and authentication
• Vercel: Hosting and file storage
• Stripe: Payments
• Resend: Transactional email
• Upstash: Rate limiting
• Composio: User-connected app connectors (Gmail, GitHub, etc.)
• Sentry: Error monitoring

Each service operates under its own terms. Your use of connected services (Gmail, GitHub, etc.) through JCIL.AI is subject to those services' terms.

JCIL.AI is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We do not warrant that:

• AI responses will be accurate, complete, or error-free
• The service will be uninterrupted or available at all times
• Generated content will be free from bias or inaccuracies
• The service will meet your specific requirements

AI outputs are not professional advice. Do not rely on AI-generated content for medical, legal, financial, or life-critical decisions without independent verification.
