Our model, honestly
JCIL runs on Claude by Anthropic, an American AI company. We chose it deliberately, we align it with JCIL's convictions through our own instructions, and we test it continuously. Your conversations are never used for training, and your account, chats and memory are stored in the United States. Anthropic built the model (Claude Sonnet 5.5 answers today); we did not build it and we do not pretend to. What is ours is everything around it: the convictions, tested continuously against our quality bar, with autonomous checks and human review, for doctrine, pastoral safety and civic posture, the memory, and the privacy design. Every answer and every background helper that reads your words, the summaries, the suggestions, the routing, runs on Claude through Anthropic's API. If Claude is ever unavailable, JCIL switches to its backup, a frontier open-weight model hosted and processed in the United States, and tells you on screen. The backup answers only during an outage; a failed turn is free, and your conversation is never quietly handed to a model we have not disclosed here. Kids' Safety (COPPA)
Accounts are for people 16 and older; younger people only on a Family plan seat managed by a parent or guardian. Not directed at children under 13. No ad targeting, no profiling, no training on kids' content, and parents can request deletion any time.
